Hotelex: from court to household ceramics, what's the positioning of your products?
Zheng Yili: the product of our company has a high-end positioning and tries to become the supreme daily ceramics in China. It continues to the formula of Guanware Yue ceramics in the Southern Song Dynasty and is dedicated to carrying forward the modern Guanware ceramics, thus making the modern families experience the royal ceramics.
Hotelex: what's your original purpose of working with the masters in the Chinese arts and crafts field? What classic works have you created?
Zheng Yili: the company's development is inseparable from the process of innovation. In the process of innovation, it is combined with the Chinese contemporary cultural development and traditional Chinese culture. Our original purpose of cooperating with the masters is to combine the daily ceramics of "QianFengCui" with the traditional arts and crafts in China, thus embodying the contemporary spirits of "craftsman" and endowing QianFengCui with the new creation mission.

Hotelex: the products of your company are widely recognized. Especially it has shown up in the national-level activity. What's its boosting function to the industry?
Zheng Yili: it has become the state banquet ceramics of 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit, which is the powerful proof of the premium quality of "QianFengCui" ceramics produced by Nansong. As the state banquet ceramics of the highest-standard conference in China at present, it makes the whole Chinese and even the international friends know about the exquisiteness of Chinese ceramics. Since the Summit, the sales volume of the company has been greatly increased. Customers nationwide come to seek for multi-dimensional cooperation for the reputation of the state banquet ceramics.
Hotelex: your products tend to have vivid "Chinese elements", so how to "adopt the advantages and avoid disadvantages" when expanding the international market?
Zheng Yili: the company product has multi-variant creation design in terms of pattern and ware type. In order to cater for the demands of the international market, our company conducts more explorations and pursuits of the ware type and technique of white ceramic whiteware. For example, it uses the techniques of ceramic whiteware, colored glaze and matte glaze to highlight the other side of products.
Hotelex: can you tell about the market planning of your company in 2017?
Zheng Yili: expand the international market and develop the derivative products of state banquet ceramics of international market
Hotelex: please tell me the origin and process of your company's bidding in G20 State Banquet tableware. In face of the heated competition in the industry, what's the reason for Nansong to win the bidding?
Zheng Yili: first of all, it is because of our quality guarantee of the brand products. The state banquet ceramics has extremely rigid requirements of the product quality and the company's products have high-end positioning, which meet the requirements of the state banquet ceramics; second, it is the advantages of the company's development and design; our company is located in Hangzhou and is familiar with Hangzhou's humanities and architecture. It can focus on the elements of the West Lake in Hangzhou to make the appropriate design, which fully embodies the characteristics of G20 Summit in Hangzhou.
Hotelex: please illustrate the design idea of this set of works. How to match it with the state banquet spot (layout, menu etc)?
Zheng Yili: the design is mainly combined with the 20-word summit organization tenet, including "West Lake Element, Zhejiang Characteristics, Jiangnan Charm, Chinese Style and World Harmony"; it is also combined with the West Lake landscape features and is expressed and designed with Chinese ink painting.
Hotelex: please introduce the stories behind the works creation and the difficulties that the several design masters meet.
Zheng Yili: they have met too many problems in the design process. For example, in terms of the roofs of three pools in the ware type design, the designers specially went to the West Lake and looked at the model of three pools. The pattern design also included the moon scene of the three pools. And they also went to look at the angles of the three pools. They kept correcting and trial-producing the early-stage ware type and gone through over ten times; In the later-stage pattern design, trial colors on the ceramics were done for over 20 times. The manufacturing requirements of products are very high, so the input cost is higher than that of the former products for multiple times with the qualification ratio of 15%-20%
Hotelex: when did your company begin to join in Hotelex exhibition? From attention to exhibition, what's the deepest impression does the Hotelex exhibition leave on you?
Zheng Yili: our company has begun to attend Hotelex exhibition since 2006 and kept attending it since then. Our exhibition area also becomes greater and greater. Hotelex exhibition can be regarded as the most important hotel supplies exhibition in China; in the international arena, it has also attracted a lot of foreign exhibitors and buyers. Hotelex exhibition is now also radiating to Guangzhou, Chengdu and other places, the influence of which is growing. Hotelex is doing more than simply selling booths; it is also integrated with many of today's popular elements and ways to seek all-round display and cooperation.
Hotelex: what's the share of Hotelex exhibition in the market promotion of your company? What's its function in your company's layout in Chinese market?
Zheng Yili: around 30% shares. Participation in Hotelex mainly provides the publicity platform for the company to seek for distribution agents nationwide, which is also an effective way to show the company image. In addition, the purchasers of many groups also know about the products of our company through this.
Hotelex: for so many years, what changes of Hotelex have you felt? Please talk about your expectation on Phase II of Hotelex.
Zheng Yili: in recent years, Hotelex exhibition does not simply show the products. Each product field has related activities and competitions, which enriches the diversity of exhibitions, attracts more audience and expands communication of various aspects in activities. It is exactly one transformation of Hotelex.
As for Hotelex in the later stage, I hope that it can expand the communication scope and enable more suppliers and purchasers nationwide to be integrated into Hotelex and it can even have greater influence in the international market.
