A new-build 50 metre motor yacht dubbed Project FRO38 has been sold by Kurt Lehmann at Yacht Moments to a long standing client.
To be built in aluminium by Italian yard Rossinavi to a design by Luca Dini, Project FR038 is scheduled for delivery in 2020. In development for the past 12 months, the new yacht attempts to pack high volumes within 500GT of internal space and will be fitted with huge windows to offer wonderful views while the upper deck will have what the designer calls a ‘crystal veranda’ to lead out to spacious external deck areas.
Although the propulsion system has not been revealed, the yard promises a cruising speed of 19 knots and a maximum speed of 23 knots.
Designer Luca Dini comments: “The owner, with extensive experience and passion about yachts with a sporty character, asked me to design a super yacht for long-range navigation and maintaining generous outdoor spaces.”
Claudio Rossi, COO of Rossinavi, concludes: “FR038, a motor yacht in full light alloy, is a good interpretation of the eternal compromise between sport design and the exploitation of the internal areas. This project represents a very good mix of those two contrasting elements that find a new equilibrium in this two deck yacht.”
Other superyacht projects currently under development at Rossinavi include the 48.5 metre N2H, the 49 metre Aurora and the 49.9 metre Endeavour II, all of which are due for delivery this year.
