For several years now, at the annual Dubai International Boat Show, Oceanco unveils a concept design. The builder creates each one with a leading superyacht designer. This week marks the 2018 edition of the boat show. In keeping with past practice, Oceanco plans to reveal its latest concept project. In anticipation, we thought we’d take a look back at one of its most popular proposals, Amara.

Sorgiovanni Designs collaborated with the yard on this massive megayacht. LOA is 394 feet (120 meters), right in the range of what Oceanco has been building in recent years. The design studio and the shipyard refer to Amara as a “resort yacht.” Given her passenger capacity of 20, she’s an eminently intimate resort. Furthermore, from abundant sunpads to a pool and to indulgent mind and body treatment areas, she delivers on the resort pledge.

Those treatment areas can include two saunas/baths, for instance. A handful of guests can treat themselves to the hammam, while others can enjoy the banya. (A hammam is a Turkish-style steam sauna. A banya, meanwhile, is Russian style, featuring wet or dry heat.) With either choice, they should walk out feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Amara encourages additional relaxation outside, among her multiple decks. Dominating the aft deck, a pool beckons guests to take a leisurely swim. The pool is also big enough for half the guests to lounge around it without it feeling crowded. (If the owner wants a little privacy, though, there’s a plunge pool just outside the master suite on the upper deck.) For aesthetic effect, Amara also has a waterfall here. It flows down into the pool from the upper deck.

Come take a flyover tour, via the video above. From enjoying movies on the top deck to taking watertoys out, Amara has a lot of amenities.
