The new 50 metre Heesen motor yacht Project Ayla has been sold with UK brokerage company Abberley Luxury Yachts introducing the buyer.
Built on spec in aluminium by the Dutch yard to a design by Omega Architects, delivery is scheduled for 2018.
The accommodation is currently configured to sleep up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a main-deck owner’s cabin, a full-beam VIP below decks, two further double staterooms and two twin cabins, all with their own private en-suite bathroom facilities.
Italian designer Cristiano Gatto, in his sixth collaboration with Heesen, has created a chic, minimalist interior, a contemporary interpretation of New Déco. The extensive use of upholstery, both on vertical and horizontal surfaces, will allow Ayla’s new owners to choose material and colour palettes to create the atmosphere that meets their taste.
There will be plenty of room for exterior relaxation as well, with four al fresco dining areas, including the superyacht sundeck, which measures 70 square metres. The other highlights on the upper deck are the spa pool, surrounded by sun pads, and the full-service bar area.
Twin MTU 16V 4000 series engines will take care of the power, resulting in an estimated top speed of 23 knots and a maximum cruising range of 3,200 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Heesen Yachts currently has ten projects under construction at its Oss facility, including another 50 metre aluminium yacht called Project Alba, which is also due to hit the water in 2018.
