The 24 metre sailing yacht Lupa of London, listed for sale by Alastair Shove at Carrswood Yachts, has been sold with Alessandro Vismara at Vismara Shipyard introducing the buyer.
Built in carbon fibre by Baltic Yachts to a design by Reichel-Pugh, she boasts a canting keel for improved sailing stability and was delivered in 2000 with several refits since, the latest being in 2016. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins consisting of a midships master suite, port and starboard doubles, and a twin aft, all with stereo surround sound systems and en suite shower facilities.
The saloon is open plan with wooden panelling, teak and holly flooring, large settees and a formal dining table, while large hatches allow for plenty of natural light. More informal, al fresco dining is available in the guest cockpit with seating on three sides around a varnished teak table. Her extensive teak decks and flush hatches make her a safe and comfortable platform for relaxing and for performance sailing.
On the technical side, she has an extensive sail inventory of some 20 sails in total — all of which were made by North Sails in New Zealand and all deck hardware is by Lewmar. Under power, a 170hp Yanmar diesel engine offers a maximum speed of 10 knots with a cruising speed of 9 knots.
Lupa of London has an enviable record of podium finishes at races and regattas worldwide including first place at the RORC Transat Race and first place at the Rolex Maxi Worlds at Sardinia, both in 2014.
Lupa of London was asking £1,450,000 with VAT paid.
