The 42.67 metre sailing yacht Aphrodite A has had a central agency change and is now jointly listed for sale by Ann Avery at Northrop & Johnson and Dennis Frederiksen at Fraser.
Formerly named Aphrodite II, she was built in aluminium by Dutch yard Vitters to a design by Hoek Naval Architects and was delivered in 1999 designed for long range cruising. The interior, which also benefits from Hoek design expertise, features highly polished cherry wood, white ceilings and maple floors, giving her a luxurious elegance. She accommodates eight guests in four cabins plus six crew — guest accommodation consists of a master suite with a four poster king sized bed, port and starboard doubles and a twin. All guest cabins have flatscreen televisions, entertainment centres, mini bars and full en-suite facilities.
The saloon of this yacht for sale has a dining table seating 12 guests, a comfortable seating area and a coffee machine. Below the waterline in the bow there are two forward facing cameras, allowing guests to watch and film dolphins riding the bow pressure wave from the comfort of the television room.
An ideal yacht for circumnavigating the globe, Aphrodite A can carry sufficient stores and fuel to cruise for three months without cease. In addition, her hull is divided into five watertight compartments, thus guaranteeing maximum safety. An 830hp MTU engine gives her an impressive range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Sloop rigged, she comes with hydraulic in-boom furling.
Lying in Cannes, France, Aphrodite A is asking €6.8 million.
