Every day, on megayachts dotting the globe, owners and guests enjoy fine spirits. Andrew Troyer has seen it up close, having spent his career in the luxury sector. Interestingly, and fittingly, as much as selling yachts brings him personal and professional satisfaction, he’s passionate about fine spirits, too. That passion led him to create AR?ME Spirits, with AR?ME 28 being a fine sipping rum.
With the guidance of a renowned Cuban rum master, Troyer created AR?ME 28 from a reserve of aged Panamanian rum. (The “28” in the name signifies 28 years.) It’s matured in uncharred oak barrels previously used for bourbon. Troyer additionally designed the bottle and label to complement the idea of a gentleman’s sipping rum.
To learn more about Troyer’s “baby,” including where you can buy it, read this month’s edition of the MegayachtNews.com newsletter. You’ll also read about how 35 superyacht crew cleaned up an astounding 20,000-plus pieces of plastic from beaches in Sydney, Australia, in one day, and how future beach cleanups are in the works. We also inform you of an expansion going on at Georgia’s Thunderbolt Marine, in time for megayachts making their way south for the season. And, in case you missed receiving the message directly in your inbox, our annual reader survey is underway. We provide a link to the super-short survey.
