San Remo-based boatbuilder Permare has launched the Amer 110, which is the largest model to emerge from the yard in the past five years.
This 33.5 metre fast planing yacht was built from a GRP hull and superstructure to RINA standards. The Amer 110 will make her public debut in September at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival.
Featuring naval architecture and exterior styling by Massimo Verme, the Amer 110’s profile has been designed to create a sense of equilibrium when cruising at sea.
Unusually for a yacht of this size, accommodation is for just six guests split between three spacious cabins. The yard adds that this layout was on the request of the owner, who also specified an exactly identical interior to his previous Permare yachts, which were an Amer 92 and an Amer 100.
Another remarkable feature is the engine installation, as the Amer 110 will be fitted with four 900hp Volvo Penta IPS poddrives. This sporty set-up means the Amer 110 can cruise comfortably at 26 knots, with a top speed in excess of 30 knots, while the total fuel capacity of 9,250 litres should allow for extended coastal cruises.
Other projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the third hull in the Amer 94 series, which is also due to hit the water before the end of the year. Another IPS-powered speedster, this 28.65 metre yacht will also be capable of speeds in excess of 30 knots.
