Cockwells teams up with RWD for 10.5m Titian Tender

British yard Cockwells has announced that it is building a new 10.5 metre superyacht tender that will go on display at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show.

Named the Titian Tender, this bespoke project is based on a concept by British design studio RWD and will feature interiors by Cullum Bespoke, who brought plenty of experience from the world of luxury car customisation.

With a 2.8 metre beam, the Titian Tender is ideal for six guests to enjoy a day on the water, relaxing under the shade of an electric Bimini. On-board amenities will include a galley with microwave oven, heads compartment with electric shower, and a coffee machine.

The crew will appreciate the high-end systems, from the Empirbus control system to the electric anchor launcher and joystick controls.

Power comes from a pair of 320hp Yanmar 8LV engines twinned to Hamilton jet drives. This propulsion system, combined with the super-shallow draught of just 0.55 metres means that the Titan Tender will be able to explore all sorts of shallow bays and remote anchorages.

Dave Cockwell, founder and managing director of Cockwells, added: “From the stainless steel fittings that have been specifically cast to the contemporary chic of the corian and copper galley, the Titian Tender makes a statement.”

The Titian Tender is currently under construction at the yard’s Mylor facility, using a combination of durable modern composites, yellow cedar and teak. The British boatbuilder will be hoping to repeat the success of its 9.5 metre limousine, which won the Tender & Support Vessel Design category at the 2017 ShowBoats Design Awards.
