CCN reveals more details of 27m Fuoriserie yacht Freedom

　　Italian yard Cerri Cantieri Navali has opened up about its 27 metre custom motor yacht project Freedom, which has been commissioned by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.

　　Sold in an in-house deal back in May, this Fuoriserie yacht will be built from aluminium and delivered in summer 2018. Cavalli's friend and fellow designer Tommaso Spadolini will take care of interior and exterior styling.

　　The brief calls for a strong exterior profile to reflect the owner’s strong personality. The yard has also been challenged with maximising the contact with the sea while ensuring that privacy is not compromised.

　　Diego Michele Deprati, CEO of Cerri Cantieri Navali, said, “It is a great honour for me to be able to build a yacht that will truly stand out for its great personality and unique features.

　　“CCN is increasingly showing its strong drive for innovation, its flexibility, and its world-class shipbuilding quality through fully-custom projects that are tailor-made to the clients' taste and desires,” he added. “The Fuoriserie philosophy is undoubtedly bound to become the distinguishing feature of our shipyard.”

　　Accommodation is for six guests split between a full-beam main deck owner’s cabin, situated just behind the helm station, and two staterooms below decks, adjacent to the crew quarters. Other key features include an upper-deck helm station and a large cockpit with concealing curtains.

　　Power will come from a triple waterjet drivetrain that will give this 27 metre fast-planing yacht a sporty top speed of 40 knots, while the foredeck will provide tender storage.

　　Other custom projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 49.9 metre Elsea, which was recently delivered and is due to get her public debut at next month's Cannes Yachting Festival.
