Turkish shipyard FDC Yachts and Red Yacht Design have teamed up to present the 26 metre Aluna 87, the first Aluna model in a series that champions multi-functional design and a flexible layout. The production of the hull is set to begin in May 2022, with the first hull on schedule to hit the water in summer 2023. It comes after a year-long design process between FDC Yachts, Red Yacht Design and Notilus Engineering.Red Yacht Design is responsible for both the interior and exterior of the yacht, while the hull design and engineering come courtesy of Notilus Engineering.Alongside the aesthetic appeal of its exteriors, the Aluna 87 has been carefully considered to provide excellent seakeeping in rough conditions thanks to a forward-positioned superstructure and a near-plumb bow.Unusually for a yacht of this size, the yacht’s impressive toy-carrying capacities allow it to function as either a standalone superyacht or as a support vessel.A total of 110 square metres of open deck space onboard provides plenty of storage for tenders, with a five-tonne capacity crane to launch and retrieve them. The yacht’s toy locker can include one 12 metre tender, one five metre jet tender and two jet-skis.The crane is completely concealed within the deck, allowing the deck to be enjoyed as an obstructed entertainment space when it’s free of tenders and toys. Loose furniture can be stored in the lazarette section below the aft deck. The Aluna 87 will also be able accommodate touch and go helicopter landings.“We aimed to create a series where our clients will feel like they are living on a much larger yacht with the volume, usage area, and other possibilities provided by Aluna,” said Eyüp Özbelen of FDC Yachts.“She has easy access to the sea, strong and comfortable in rough sea conditions. Economic, user-friendly and unique in her class in terms of the toy area and the volume of [the] guest zone. Basically a dream boat. "The main deck hosts dining for up to eight guests, with the main saloon located further forward. Spanning the full-beam with nearly full-height windows and a headspace of 2.3 metres, the saloon promises a light and airy ambience that still feels connected to the outside world. With a good balance of function and elegance, Red's design director, Cana Gökhan, has compared the Aluna 87 to a Swiss Army knife.Accommodation is for a maximum of eight guests, with a full-beam owner’s suite that can be converted into separate suites thanks to partition walls. The en suite attached to one cabin can also function as a dayhead, proving the versatility of this model.Crew and guest operations are separate from each other, with capacity for a total of four crew. The Aluna 87 will have a beam of 7.45 metres and a shallow draft of 1.85 metres that will make her well-suited to coastal cruising grounds. The yacht will be built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with twin 2 X Cat c12.9 1000HP engines set to provide a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots.
The B125 is the newest addition to the Bering family. Built as a pocket-sized, steel-hulled expedition yacht, the model fuses luxury living with impressive explorer capacities including a 4,500-plus nautical mile range.
Onboard highlights include a generous sundeck with a spa pool and dining area, plus a beach club with Hammam spa and a diving compressor. A beam of nine metres allows for plenty of amenities, with scope for customisation to suit the needs of all clients.
The yacht’s interiors focus on refined luxury, with plenty of rich textures, natural light and contemporary details. Accommodation is offered for a total of ten guests and seven crew members.
The B80 is one of Bering’s most popular models, with five units currently in build at the shipyard.
The model is characterised by a customisable layout, with accommodation for up to ten guests across a GT of 233. Its beam of 8.2 metres makes her one of the widest yachts in this size class, giving her guests even more onboard room to play with.
Highlights of the B80 include a main deck master suite, Jacuzzi and a unique beach club-meets-lazarette hybrid that offers a sauna, dive gear and storage for a motorcycle. Additionally, the B80 features separate walkways for crew and space for a 6.5 metre tender.
