The first 29.85-meter Sunseeker 100 Yacht launched at the UK’s Poole Harbour. According to the shipyard, ‘the 100 Yacht earmarked the start of a new era in flybridge design and functionality for the British yard’. With new entertainment features at the fore, the 100 Yacht features the sweeping flybridge, with complete walk-around access from bow to stern, is one of the exceptional entertainment areas that defines the 100 Yacht. The vast space on the flybridge is cleverly zoned to offer seamless entertainment. The foredeck has two separate seating arrangements with cinema screen capability, while the central flybridge has L-shaped seating, a fully equipped wet bar and space aft for free-standing furniture or a spa bath. The 22-foot beam adds significant interior volume, feeling much larger than a 100-footer, matched by interior features typically found in bespoke superyachts. The full-beam master suite situated on the main deck benefits from floor to ceiling windows port and starboard as well as an exceptional glass atrium door forward, leading to an owner’s private bow terrace.Powered by MTU 12V 2000 M96X or MTU 16V 2000 M96L, the 100 Yacht reaches speeds of up to 29 knots and has a range of 1,300 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Columbus Yacht has announced the construction on spec of a new 40-meter superyacht from the Crossover line. A second hull, also Columbus Crossover 40, will be assembled starting from the end of the year. The new Columbus Crossover 40 project, designed by Hydro Tec’s Sergio Cutolo, stems from the need of housing large tenders on compact yachts, and at the same time endorses the new lifestyle that equates a boat with a private island for holiday activities. The modern and muscular shapes exterior lines with a prevalence of stretched and angled surfaces, and with a higher distribution of volume in the forward area than typically found on Crossovers, so as to make room for the tender. The displacement hull has bulbous bow and flat, flared aft sections and is in steel with light alloy superstructure. The modern and inspired theme of interior exploration will be made by Francesco Guida. This boat can house a tender up to 8 meters in length and 2.5 tons in weight on deck, as well as the whole series of “toys” usually supplied to this type of yacht.A retractable crane, installed on the upper deck aft, will allow it to handle the tender, which is usually towed. The yacht features a swimming pool with automatic sliding cover and a large bathing platform at the stern area, the bulwarks are completely foldable and they create a huge beach club that can be arranged according to the needs of the moment. The sun deck has a sunbathing area, a relaxation area with a forward facing sofa and in the middle, covered by the hard-top, the outdoor dining/cocktail area, with a large bar at starboard and a dining table on the port side. The hard-top houses a characteristic "crow’s nest" from which you can enjoy a 360 degree view. The two social areas, the deck saloon and the sky lounge, have been designed to be respectively the main saloon and the formal lunch/dinner area. In particular, the upper deck dining room spreads to full width and opens to the side, creating a cantilevered loggia over the ocean.Columbus Crossover 40 can accommodate 10 guests. The owner's suite is arranged towards the bow, on the main deck, while the four guest cabins are located below deck in the central section of the hull. The yacht will be fitted with two Caterpillar C 32 of 970 kW each allowing it to run at a maximum speed of over 14.5 knots. At economic speed this boat will reach a 4,000 mile range.
