The 33.6m classic motor yacht Sans Souci has entered the brokerage market. She was launched by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1955 under the name Verdesein. Her design was made by naval architect Geerd N. Hendel. The yacht just went through a multimillion-dollar refit and was listed for sale by Hans van Doornmalen and Mike Horsley at Edmiston.

Sans Souci is a classic wooden yacht that retains much of her original charm. A recent refit saw modern amenities installed, such as zero-speed stabilizers and satellite communications – invisibly integrated, they allow the yacht to stay faithful to her time period.

Her interiors are filled with wood paneling, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere, whilst outside she has space for a tender and a helm on the flybridge with panoramic views. The owner scoured all over Europe to find the original fittings he desired to create the unique 1920s’ decor of the yacht. Light fittings, furniture, objects d’art and door handles, all blend into a sumptuous and perfectly coordinated homogenous whole – a real masterpiece.
