Project Witchcraft: Second Amels 60 Limited Editions begins sea trials

The second hull in Amels’ new line of 60 metre Limited Editions superyachts has begun sea trials, heading out to open water from Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen facilities. Known as Project Witchcraft, the yacht will now undertake rigorous testing on the North sea ahead of delivery to her owner. 

The yacht is the second Limited Editions 60 designed in collaboration with Espen Øino, with six yachts from the series already sold so far. Key design features of Project Witchcraft include customised windows to allow light to flood the interior.

The project was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship and represents the seventh collaboration between Amels and the brokerage and management firm.

“Moran Yacht & Ship is very proud of the many customizations we were able to implement into this platform,” commented a representative from Moran. "It is a testament to the Damen Yachting engineering and production team.”

Project Witchcraft features a gross tonnage of 830 GT. The yacht's sundeck stretches over 1,744 square feet and a touch-in-go helipad ensures ease of access for any guests.

The yacht's interior, which was designed by Canadian studio Burdifilek, can accommodate 12 guests and 12 crew. “This unique opportunity led us on a journey of exploration where every design aspect of the yacht was considered at the highest level of execution,” said interior designer Diego Burdi. “The interiors propose a playground of timeless elegance, ultimate comfort, and a sense of peace conveyed through a monochromatic palette.”

After delivery, the yacht will be setting course for warmer climates with a busy charter season planned for 2023 under the guidance of Moran Yacht & Ship.
