38m Horizon RP125 flagship delivered to Australia

Taiwanese builder Horizon Yachts has delivered the first 38-metre RP125 to a repeat owner in Australia. Christened Vin Xan, the yacht is the new flagship of the builder's raised pilothouse series and also the largest Horizon sold to Australia to date.

Vin Xan was commissioned by an owner looking to upgrade from an RP100 and is based on an extended RP110 model with a High Performance Piercing Bow as seen on the FD series. Naval architecture is by Donald Blount and her design is completed in-house.

The owner has a passion for cooking and the galley, which sits at the heart of the yacht, feels more like a modern home kitchen with high ceilings, windows on both sides and contemporary stone countertops. 

Exterior decks are designed for entertaining guests with three al fresco spaces to choose from. The main deck is home to one of two al fresco dining options with a U-shaped sofa that hugs the transom and a table that can comfortably seat 10 beneath the shade of an overhang. The space leads to the main saloon and interior dining space through sliding doors.

On the upper deck is the second al fresco dining space, equipped with BBQ, while the tender is stored aft. The foredeck offers a sunlounging option to guests with a triple sunpad and forward-facing seating area.

Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across five cabins including an on-deck master suite, two VIP cabins and two guest cabins on the lower deck, one of which is fitted with an additional Pullman berth.

The storage space in the tender garage has been customised to accommodate diving equipment.

According to BOATPro, there are 17 yachts currently under construction or on order at Horizon including 13 models from the FD series.
