29m Nordhavn motor yacht New Journey delivered

The latest motor yacht in the Nordhavn 96 series New Journey has been delivered to her new owners. The 29.44-metre superyacht immediately embarked on her first journey beginning in the Sea of Cortez, traveling towards Victoria, British Columbia. She will serve as a floating resort for the owners in the coming years.

New Journey’s exterior and naval architecture was imagined by Nordhavn Yachts Design and the owners worked closely with Scott Cole Ardeo Design on the interior to produce a warm and comforting environment that aligned with their vision.

Design was of paramount importance to the recently retired couple who are embarking on a five-year global trip. Whilst comfort is key, New Journey is defined by its designated leisure spaces, designed to accommodate the owners’ hobbies and promote relaxation. She features a devoted music space located on the skylounge, allowing the owner to express his passion for drumming and music.

Entertaining and hosting guests will serve as a crucial function for New Journey. To achieve this the motor yacht boasts a nightclub-inspired curved bar and lounge area on the sun deck for intimate gatherings, whilst a larger bar aft of the galley is perfect for more casual dining and entertaining guests. The owners can enjoy the stunning outdoor views through the expansive windows which line the saloon whilst amid an elegantly designed interior, draped in a neutral colour palette, combining subtle textures with mosaic glass tiles.

Equipped with two davits, New Journey is prepared for the demands of remote cruising. The superyacht is powered by twin Caterpillar engines which provide her with a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of ten knots. New Journey will be going on quite the adventure as her owners plan on spending this summer in Alaska, commencing on their global cruising itinerary from late Spring 2024.
