Studio Agon has unveiled the renderings for a futuristic 70-metre superyacht concept Horus, which “exudes elegance in motion”. The engineering behind this exceptional project has been masterfully developed by NAMES studio, led by Francesco Rogantin.

The yacht concept features an exterior design, which draws inspiration from iconic 1960s sports cars and J-class sailing boats, resulting in sleek, sporty lines.

The interior renderings depicting Horus showcase an informal layout characterised by the use of natural materials and a neutral palette of whites, olive greens, and wooden decoratives, evoking the ambiance of an opulent country house. Throughout, the floors exhibit a calcareous stone found in the grand farms of Apulian Masserie, while vaulted ceilings and soft furnishings echo the staple luxuries found upon superyachts.

Upon the upper deck is the owner's stateroom, a private retreat spanning over 100 square-metres. This vast space offers a remarkable 270-degree sea view, balconies on both sides, a private office, a spacious Jacuzzi, and a panoramic aft window measuring an impressive 3.5 by 10 metres. To ensure utmost privacy while in ports, the yacht is designed for bow-to berthing directly to the upper deck, creating a homecoming experience that mirrors the arrival at a villa in Saint Tropez or Miami.

The main saloon is located on the upper deck and overlooks the elongated foredeck. The bow side features a stylish parlour beneath a captivating skylight, while the aft side presents a generous and comfortable lounge area adorned with recessed sofas, plush cushions, and an extra-large TV screen. The main saloon showcases an original colonnade inspired by the charm of a Mexican Hacienda. With sliding glass windows that minimise obstructions, guests are treated to expansive views on three sides of the saloon.

The bridge deck hosts the wheelhouse and the captain's cabin, and stepping outside, a versatile open-air space invites guests to indulge in the pleasures of alfresco living. Accentuated by a transparent glass walkway and boasting amenities such as a curvature sofa set up with a cosy fire pit, the main saloon is a versatile space for relaxation and entertainment.

The main deck of the Studio Agon concept houses four VIP suites and two staterooms. Each stateroom features floor-to-ceiling glass windows for an abundance of natural light. To ensure privacy and control over sunlight, a louvered design graces the entire bulwark, offering a touch of elegance and functionality. These louvers, attached to frames that open upwards, are akin to a tender door garage, allowing guests to adjust the amount of light, by opening or closing their suite's louvered bulwark door. This unique design enhances privacy and contributes to the yacht's overall energy efficiency, making the air conditioning system more effective.

The lower deck features a dedicated wellness and fitness area. Equipped with a gym and a wellness zone, this space is easily accessible from all the accommodations on the main deck. Crew cabins are strategically positioned at the bow, providing convenience and privacy. The lower deck is also home to the engine room and a tender garage capable of housing two 8-metre tenders, jet skis, and an assortment of water toys.

One of the highlights of the Horus concept is the hybrid propulsion system, a testament to innovation and sustainability. This cutting-edge system allows for low-speed navigation without the need for diesel engines. The yacht concept can operate in diesel-electric mode at medium speeds and ensures a special autonomy of over 5,000 nautical miles at a comfortable cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of 17 knots.
