Italian shipyard Riva, a brand of Ferretti Group, has launched the first unit in a brand new series of flybridge models named the Riva 82 Diva. The 25-metre model was lowered into the water at the yard's La Spezia site.
According to Riva, the flybridge series aims to "open a new chapter" for the Sarnico-based builder, and offers a "revolutionary approach to the use of space" by maximising outdoor areas and ensuring indoor spaces are thoughtfully designed according to their function.

Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design, are responsible for the yacht's design, working in collaboration with the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The design team has given the yacht a flybridge with around 40 square metres of useable space, making it one of the largest flybridges in this category, according to Riva. The flybridge has well-defined areas, including a lounge with a dinette and bar in the centre, protected by a carbon fibre hard top with glass panels, plus a sunbathing area forward and another lounge area aft.
At the stern of the yacht is a beach club area with two large bulwarks that fold out to create overwater terraces, expanding the yacht's six-metre beam by an additional three metres.
Inside, the main saloon features a forward dining area that is raised to mark out each setting – the lounge and the dining space – without the need for a divider. Below, the lower deck is home to four cabins comprising three en suite guest cabins and a full-beam owner's cabin on the aft, allowing space for up to eight guests. There are separate crew quarters for three accessed via a dedicated walkway.
The Riva 82 Diva shares the same low and sporty superstructure profile as her predecessors but features higher and safer lateral gunwales with painted composite profiles instead of traditional stainless steel handrails.
Propulsion can be modified by the owner, with the option to install a pair of MAN V12 1800 engines delivering a top speed of 29 knots and a cruising speed of 26 or two MAN V12 1900 engines for a top speed of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots.
The Riva 82 Diva is the smallest of the Riva tri-deck flybridge ranges, which includes the Riva 90 Argo, Riva 102 Corsaro Super, Riva 110 Dolcevita and Riva 130 Bellissima.
