New Alia 43m Raised Pilothouse Sold

Turkish Alia Yachts has initiated the construction of a novel 43-meter project in collaboration with long-standing design partners Omega Architects. This venture, commissioned by a Miami-based client, takes inspiration from the leisurely outdoor lifestyle synonymous with Florida and the Bahamas.

Yacht's low-profile, sleek appearance, incorporating an imposing pelican-beak bow design, enhanced by the raised pilothouse layout spanning two-and-a-half decks, was created by Omega Architects.

Frank Laupman of Omega Architects states, "She embodies a blend of swiftness and sturdiness. The concept emerged from the collaborative efforts of the owner and the shipyard. The dedication of Alia's team and their enthusiastic owner ensures an exceptional commitment to their clients."

The design encompasses generous open-air zones, relaxation spaces and sunbathing areas on the aft deck, foredeck, and sundeck which also features a hot tub. This novel design extends the raised pilothouse configuration to 42 meters and 380GT.

This all-aluminum vessel boasts a shallow draft suitable for the Bahamas and is endowed with a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Dutch design partners, Van Oossanen. The FDHF technology outperforms conventional hull forms across various speeds, promising heightened efficiency.

Perry van Oossanen, studio principal, highlights the distinctive attributes of the hull form, emphasizing its fuel-efficient cruising, impressive top-end performance, and comparatively low engine power requirements. With a draft of 2.10 meters, this vessel is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive US market.

The interior design entails four guest suites on the lower deck, a master stateroom with a walk-in wardrobe on the main deck forward. Additional provisions on the lower deck encompass accommodations for seven crew members, a spacious gym, and a side-loading tender garage. Sliding glass doors on both sides of the main saloon ensure a continuous influx of fresh air throughout the interior. The interior is the creation of emerging designers Yodezeen, based in Kyiv with a studio in Miami.

Gökhan Çelik, President of Alia Yachts, expresses optimism for the yacht's reception, noting its dynamic yet efficient nature and its wealth of inviting outdoor spaces. He adds, "The raised pilothouse concept has been underrepresented recently, particularly in vessels over 40 meters, making this yacht ideally suited for Miami."

Propelled by twin MTU TIER III 16V 2000 M96L main engines, the yacht is projected to reach a top speed exceeding 22.5 knots and boasts a range of 3,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The yacht is anticipated for delivery in the summer of 2024.
