Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has announced the sale of a new 43-metre project that has now entered the initial stage of construction.
The raised pilothouse model is the first of a new series featuring a streamlined profile by long-term design partners Omega Architects. Alia Yachts previously collaborated with the Dutch design studio on a 30-metre displacement motor yacht built for the owner of the shipyard in 2013.
Sold to a client based in Miami, the yard’s latest project borrows inspiration from the relaxed, open-air lifestyle associated with Florida and the neighbouring Caribbean for a focus on al fresco living.
Ample lounging and sunbathing areas stretch across the yacht’s two-and-a-half decks, situated on the aft deck, foredeck and sundeck. Adding to the yacht’s onboard entertainment, the pilothouse also features a jacuzzi and bar area.
Hailing from a pair of Ukranian designers with a studio in Miami, the yacht’s interiors have been completed by industry newcomers Yodezeen. Sliding glass doors on both sides of the main saloon allow for a fresh sea breeze to pass through the vessel while inviting guests to move freely throughout the outdoor and indoor spaces.
Accommodation comprises a master stateroom with a walk-in wardrobe on the main deck forward and four guest suites on the lower deck. Also on the lower deck is room for seven crew, as well as a gym and side-loading tender garage.
For the naval architecture, Alia Yachts returned to Van Oosanen – another of the yard's established design partners – to create a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) to pair with the yacht's low draught.
“The distinguishing features of this hull form – such as fine entry, shallow transom and the spray rail in the bow – lead to fuel-efficient cruising, outstanding top-end performance and relatively low engine power,” said studio principal Perry van Oossanen.
Powered by twin MTU TIER III 16V 2000 M96L engines, the yacht will have a top speed in excess of 22.5 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles while cruising at 12 knots.
According to the yard, the yacht is scheduled for delivery in summer 2024 and will make her debut during the autumn boat show season. The unnamed yacht joins four other projects currently in build at Alia Yachts, including Project San and a new SF60 model.
