Saxdor Yachts has announced the departure of its inaugural flagship unit, the Saxdor 400 GTO, from its shipyard, setting a course for the Mediterranean yachting hub of Cannes. This voyage marks the beginning of the Saxdor 400's global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Unlike the GTC variant, set to launch in the coming months and featuring an enclosed full-beam cabin on the main deck, the GTO seamlessly blends the deckhouse and cockpit into an expansive single area.
Owners can choose their preferred version based on their lifestyle. The helm area is equipped with a hypermodern array of controls and displays in an easily accessible layout. From the pilot's seat in front of the flush right wheel, the throttle and joystick are conveniently located below the side window, enabling comfortable operation whether standing or seated, all while maintaining exceptional visibility. The thin bezels of the three touchscreen displays create the illusion of a single widescreen. Although they can control and monitor all onboard systems, two rows of buttons below offer backup for added security and user-friendliness.
The design of the Saxdor 400 prioritizes guest comfort. The glazing beneath the aft sunbathing area gives the cushions a floating sensation, and the space below serves as headroom for the amidships double cabin, allowing natural light to flood in from three sides with a clear view through the glass transom. This design creates a uniquely airy and open ambiance in a typically neglected cabin area. The forward cabin offers a spacious berth, and surprisingly, there's a third cabin for children, providing more options for weekend excursions.
At boat shows, where first impressions matter, the Saxdor 400 is a true standout. Its eye-catching exterior design, glass transom for improved visibility inside the yacht, and the fold-down port bulwark, creating a unique sea-facing balcony, are bound to capture attention. With fully opening glass doors, the Saxdor 400 GTO is one of the most open models in its segment when and where openness is desired. The deckhouse is exposed from the side and above, thanks to the convertible section of the hardtop. The rest of the main deck is surrounded by enlarged windows, with the table, seating, and galley echoing the minimal and modern design motif of the exterior, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed onboard experience.
Since its inception in 2019, Saxdor Yachts has experienced exponential growth, producing over 1000 boats and capturing the industry’s attention with their innovative approach. Now, with the introduction of the Saxdor 400 GTO, Saxdor Yachts aims to make waves in the 40-45 ft sport boat market, leveling up from the game-changing entry-level 200 and mid-range 320 models.
