The 25.7-metre Royal Huisman sailing yacht Foftein Star has rejoined the brokerage market with Manfred Haas of Haas International.

Built of aluminium in 1989 to designs by naval architect Henry Scheel, the world cruising ketch was refitted by the yard in 2006 and features the renowned Scheel keel, giving a shallow draft.

The broker pointed out that Foftein Star has been under the same ownership since new and is a meticulously maintained, proven world cruiser. Her interior is finished in cherry wood with granite counter tops, beautifully executed by Royal Huisman's craftsmen and giving a timeless, elegant feel.

Sporting a traditional sheerline, fine clipper bow and bowsprit, Foftein Star's classical exterior conceals a technically well-equipped vessel that her owner has used as an exploration platform to dive and study whales from. Her cosy cockpit and expansive teak foredecks can be shaded at rest, by awnings stretched over the mizzen and main booms.

Foftein Star has in-mast hydraulic furling for main and mizzen, making for easy sail handling, on Rondal aluminium spars.

A Gardner 170hp engine provides a boost when required and a cruising speed under power of 8 knots, topping out at 8.5 knots. The yacht for sale comes equipped with a diving compressor.

Lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Foftein Star is asking €1,450,000 with VAT paid.
