Tankoa's latest superyacht, the 50-meter Grey, stands as the epitome of elegance and technological evolution within the esteemed S501 series. The vessel, a collaborative masterpiece by Francesco Paszkowski in exterior styling and Giorgio Cassetta in interior design, sets new standards with its bespoke features, meticulous construction, and the introduction of the S501 "EVO" version.
Grey's design enhancements go beyond aesthetics. Notable changes include larger glass panes on the main and upper decks, expanding the sundeck by 10 square meters, and upgrading lower deck cabins with larger windows, bathing the interiors in natural light. This evolution in design reflects Tankoa's commitment to both form and function.
The three-deck layout mirrors the S501 series, featuring an open-plan main deck with a VIP suite, a full-beam master stateroom with unique fold-down balconies, and four ensuite guest cabins on the lower deck.
The bridge deck hosts an al fresco dining area, a sky lounge with a media room, and a forward-facing sofa near a large pool with a spectacular 144-inch outdoor cinema screen.
Grey's sundeck is a haven for sun worshippers, boasting loungers, a second large pool, and a shaded area for open-air dining. The yacht surprises with a side-loading tender garage and a spacious beach club with gym gear, a day head, and a hammam.
Customizations abound on Grey, including a bow swimming pool and an unparalleled cinema/sound system. Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa sales manager, emphasizes the yacht's adaptability to meet customer requests.
Interior designer Giorgio Cassetta describes the styling as eclectic, focusing on luxury, craftsmanship, and exclusive materials. The layout breaks traditional bulkhead angles, employing exquisite materials like rosewood, European Oak, marble, and quartzite. Craftsmanship is evident in leatherwork, custom-designed soles, fabrics by Armani, Rubelli, and others, and high-end light fixtures by Luce5.
The yacht showcases a curated collection of art, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance for extended stays on board.
Powered by twin MAN main engines, Grey achieves a top speed of 17.5 knots, a cruising speed of 16 knots, and a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Tankoa was founded in 2007 and began production in 2008. A true “boutique shipyard”, focused on building semi-custom and custom constructions 45-meter and up.
