Following her US debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Sunreef Yachts has offered a first look inside the 23.8-metre Sól. The catamaran was delivered in September as the first unit in Sunreef's 80 Power Eco series.

Custom-built for a family of environmentally minded yacht owners, Sól touts a stand-out design that includes the "biggest battery bank" seen on a sub-24-metre leisure craft.

Combining a 990kWh battery (with an almost one-megawatt-hour capacity) and 200 square metres of composite-integrated solar panels, Sól can achieve e-motoring autonomy for close to 300 nautical miles. Her range extender, charging system and ability to transform any voltage available in harbours allow the model to cruise even further.

Accommodation is for eight guests across one king and three queen en suite cabins. There is further space for a complement of four crew. Sól's main saloon benefits from wraparound windows that curate an airy, bright social space with far-reaching ocean views. Glass doors aft open up to an extensive indoor-outdoor living space that includes an al fresco dining table for eight. While full interior details have not been disclosed, all décor, furniture and finishes are vegan.

Leisure highlights include a sundeck Jacuzzi, barbecue, heated deck showers and a spacious swim platform that doubles as a tender garage for a Williams Sportjet 520 tender. There's also storage for a variety of water toys, including Seabobs, e-bikes and water skis.

Elsewhere, the catamaran exhibits green-minded features such as a DC-powered air conditioning system, a watermaking and purifying system to generate drinking water, non-toxic bottom paint and natural composite structures.

The news follows the reveal of Sunreef Yachts' zero-emission, clean-hydrogen catamaran "Zero Cat", currently in development with the shipyard's R&D department. There are at least two more 80 Sunreef Power Eco models on the water and undergoing outfitting at Sunreef Yachts.
