Mulder Shipyard expands its fleet with the introduction of the Mulder Fifty, a 50-meter superyacht representing the pinnacle of the shipyard’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. The Mulder Fifty not only marks a notable size milestone for the shipyard but is also designed with a distinctive 'four generation' philosophy, ensuring a vessel that caters to the varied needs of a family.
Crafted with an exterior design by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the Mulder Fifty is more than just a yacht; it's a floating residence designed for the family. Nick Mulder explains, “This yacht is not only designed for the owner, but their children, parents, and grandparents. She features, for example, a central elevator, which connects all the decks, allowing for direct access to her exterior decks.”
Built on the success of the Mulder ThirtySix, the Fifty embraces a continuous flow production model at the main facility in Zoeterwoude. This approach allows the shipyard to optimize specifications, incorporate 'engineered elements' from the ThirtySix, control production costs, and maintain partnerships with preferred suppliers.
Featuring a sleek light gray hull with tapered decks and aft overhangs, the Mulder Fifty boasts a bespoke aluminum construction. Its slender hull design ensures exceptional seakeeping capabilities and superior comfort for occupants in varying sea conditions.
Designed just under 500 GT, the yacht maximizes space for both interior and exterior areas. Full-height windows in the main saloon and sky lounge provide panoramic views, creating luxurious and serene spaces for the entire family.
Adhering to Mulder's 'four generation' philosophy, the yacht offers a family-friendly accommodation configuration. The standard design includes six lavish staterooms, with the option to transform the skylounge into a seventh suite on the aft wheelhouse deck.
The lower deck is equipped with a side-boarding garage for a 6.5-meter tender, a spacious beach club, and a gymnasium with direct access to the main deck. The sundeck, covering 75 square meters, features a sunroof, a hot tub, a cocktail bar, and various seating arrangements for relaxation and entertainment.
A versatile foredeck, signature Mulder central bar arrangement in the saloon, a sky lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, and expansive aft decks provide ample space for gatherings. The three-meter swim platform ensures easy access to the water, with an optional pool on the aft deck for added luxury.
Accommodating a crew of nine across five cabins on the lower deck, the Mulder Fifty also prioritizes crew comfort with a dedicated engineer's cabin and a captain’s cabin. Propulsion options include a hybrid-propulsion system.
Mulder Shipyard was established in 1938 by Dirk Mulder. With a Mulder still at its helm, this traditional family business can attribute its excellent reputation to the classic Super Favorite Cruisers, the later Favorite Superieur and a wide range of custom and semi custom motoryachts. Welcoming our newest edition to the Mulder series, the Mulder ThirtySix, in the Summer of 2017, adding yet another Superyacht to the Mulder fleet.
