Horizon launches latest custom-built FD80 for Australia

Horizon Yachts has launched the eleventh hull in its 25-metre FD80 series, which is ready to debut in Australia.

Standout features include a custom interior by series architect Cor D. Rover and a split-use skylounge with heated Jacuzzi.

Accommodation is across four cabins, including an on-deck master cabin with independent vanity and honeycomb skylight. There are further quarters for four crew. The interiors are open-plan, featuring a main saloon accompanied by a multi-functional dining space with a convertible dining and breakfast table. 

Styled with soft, rounded architectural lines, light grey oak is incorporated throughout the living spaces, complemented by gold accents for a chic minimalist aesthetic. Furnishings are owed to Australian firm ABI Interiors.

There are also ample social spaces outside, including the bow which is fitted with a U-shaped dinette and sunpads. The most-used area is likely to be the sheltered skylounge, however, fitted with a full bar, pull-out Teppanyaki grill and fold down 43-inch television.

The skylounge also benefits from a heated Jacuzzi with its own bar counter and a U-shaped sofa with an extendable dining table. When the tender is deployed, freestanding furniture creates an impromptu convivial area.

This follows the Taiwanese shipyard's recent sale of its latest FD90 – the first to feature a split-use skylounge.
