Bering Yachts has launched the first unit in its 22.2-metre explorer yacht series, named the Bering 72.
Inspired by classic expedition yachts, the Turkish yard developed the model after gathering feedback from the owners and captains of the Bering 65.
The explorer yacht is therefore based on the same technical platform as the B65 and features the same "rugged, expedition-style lines".
Living areas are spread across three decks and include a large saloon and full-beam galley on the main deck. Accommodation is across three cabins and a full-beam master suite forward, though owners can customise the layout of future units to include five or six cabins.
Elsewhere, the yacht features a flybridge wet bar, a large swimming platform on the lower deck and storage for two tenders.
With a 24,000-litre fuel capacity, B72's non-stop range is over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruise speed of eight knots. The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 10 knots.
Bering currently has another B72 under construction, recently sold to an American client.
