50m Mangusta motor yacht Maverick sold

The 50.3-metre motor yacht Maverick has been sold with Jim McConville of Merle Wood & Associates representing the buyer and Ralph Navarro of Florida Yachts International representing the seller.

Built of steel and aluminium by Overmarine in 2022, the Mangusta Oceano 50 model was designed by Alberto Mancini, inside and out, with naval architecture by Pierluigi Ausonio and Overmarine.

Her sleek profile, with strips of dark-tinted windows, is topped by a black mast and cantilevered bimini. Accommodating a party of 12 in six cabins, looked after by a crew of 11, the yacht contains a main-deck owner's cabin – with a fireplace and fold-out balcony – a full-beam VIP cabin situated on the lower deck and four lower-deck guest cabins, inspired by destinations – Bahamas, Monaco, Mykonos and St Barths.

Maverick sports a vast 100-plus-square-metre sundeck with an infinity pool, DJ station, freestanding bars and oval dining table. On her foredeck is another big infinity pool sporting a pair of sunpads described by the designer as "the islands". A glass bottom filters light into the master cabin's shower.

Three fold-out terraces allow guests to keep in close contact with the sea – as well as the beach club that is illuminated via skylights set into the aft deck. A feature of the aft deck is a fire pit for guests to gather around on cooler evenings.

The 499GT vessel is powered by twin 1,700hp MTUs that give her a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. Her draft is 2.57 metres, allowing good access to anchorages.

Maverick was last asking $39,900,000 and was lying in the Bahamas.
