Meros Yachtsharing, established in 2019 by a prosperous German entrepreneur and seasoned yacht owner, stands as the exclusive contractual partner for the innovative co-ownership model of Sunseeker superyachts throughout Europe. Presently, with branches in Germany, Spain (Balearic Islands), Malta, and an upcoming one in the UK, Meros strives to present a genuine alternative to sole yacht ownership, minimizing compromises and ensuring a premium experience.
At the upcoming Boot Dusseldorf 2024, Meros will showcase its prowess with one of the largest superyachts, the highly customized 28-meter Sunseeker Meros Signature 95, alongside brand ambassador and Meros member, Esteban Ocon, an F1 driver for Alpine BWT. This marks the addition of the third superyacht to their fleet, another Sunseeker 95 launched in 2023, and a Sunseeker 86.
Managing Director of Meros Yachtsharing, Georg Oehme, emphasizes the sustainability of their co-ownership model, stating, "Our sustainable co-ownership model presents a unique opportunity to enter a growing market. In our yacht sharing models, the costs are shared in parallel to your usage. It is a modern and sustainable approach for the sector where we focus on the client’s entire experience."
Meros, in collaboration with Sunseeker London Group and industry experts, has developed a concept to optimize ownership and usage of larger yachts, offering financially attractive conditions.
They are the only company in Europe enabling co-ownership of new Sunseeker superyachts managed by experienced crews. The Meros team takes care of yacht and crew operations, route planning, and administration, extending their service well beyond mere asset management.
After success in the Western Mediterranean, Meros' Flexshare model expands into the Eastern Mediterranean and the UAE. The initiative allows co-owners to swap weeks between equivalent yachts in different regions, eliminating significant transfer costs and enabling exploration of diverse countries and cultures.
Meros emphasizes environmental consciousness by increasing the use of HVO-100 fuel across new yachts, supported by Repsol for distribution and MTU Rolls Royce for research and development.
