The Dutch builder just unveiled the fourth superyacht in the Simply Custom series. First announced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October of 2023, the Simply Custom range includes 17 vessels that have been customized by different designers. The latest 262-footer is the brainchild of Hot Lab.

Christened Superleggera 80, the newcomer features a sleek exterior with the sexy lines of a 1960s car. Italian for “superlight,” superleggera is a coachwork construction technology developed by Felice Bianchi Anderloni of Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera in the mid-1930s.

The interior was designed to evoke the same sense of awe that one feels in an expansive penthouse, according to the Milanese studio. To that end, the living quarters showcase swathes of glass and rooms of decidedly grand proportions. The main deck atrium, for example, measures up to nearly 17 feet in height.

The interior decor is quite bold, with modern furniture, expansive artwork, and statement lighting incorporated throughout. In terms of accomodation, the Simply Custom yachts are typically fitted with an owner’s stateroom and six guest suites. Other interior highlights include a gym with an adjoining balcony and a chic bar with a skylight.

The exterior is nothing to sneeze at, either. The aft deck is outfitted with a large lounge, an infinity pool, and glass panels that overlook all below. The upper decks offer more spots for alfresco lounging and dining, while the foredeck is home to a small Jacuzzi. In addition, the stern sports a swim platform and a pop-up transom door. Owners can further tweak the design with the Oceanco team, of course.

As for grunt, each yacht in the Simply Custom series will be powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system that is capable of running on low-carbon biofuels. Furthermore, the vessels will be equipped with variable speed generators, a highly optimized stabilization system, and podded drives that together increase efficiency and smoothness on the seas.

Oceanco has revealed three Simply Custom yachts to date. The first (Clarity) was designed by Espen Øino, while the second and third (Storm and Portofino) were penned by H2 Yacht Design. The Dutch yard told Robb Report it will continue to release the designs in alphabetical order every Tuesday and Saturday. Stay tuned.
