Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has announced the sale of a 43.1-metre Deep Blue 141 in collaboration with IYC's new London office. This marks the shipyard's second sale of 2024 after the Deep Blue 115 was announced last week. The owner is a "very experienced British client" who has previously owned multiple production yachts.
Described as a "robust explorer yacht", the Deep Blue 141 features exterior design by Horacio Bozzo (who developed the entire Deep Blue series). Interiors are owed to UK-based Vickers Studio (in a first-time collaboration with the shipyard) while naval architecture and engineering has been completed by Hydro Tec.
"Deep Blue 141 maintains intact her sistership's soul (Acala), while adding some specific requests from the client, proving [the series] to be a perfectly customizable platform,” added Bozzo.
While full details are yet to be disclosed, her standout features include a range of 7,500 nautical miles which are "a testament to her capabilities for global exploration". The layout will take inspiration from Acala but still reflect the owner's own preferences and lifestyle.
“We didn’t become the world leaders in the construction of explorer yachts by chance or by a stroke of luck," said Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CDM. "We stand tall, our successes a testament to the exceptional heights we have reached, and with the ingrained quality – in both design and construction – of each new explorer yacht we build, we carve a legacy in the yachting industry."
Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, she will reach a top speed of 15.3 knots.
