Riva’s all-electric El-Iseo is finally ready for market.

After premiering in prototype form last September at the Monaco Yacht Show, the final production model debuted at boot Düsseldorf in Germany this week. (Riva’s parent company, the Ferretti Group, also unveiled a new Wally fleet member at the boat show.)

A first in Riva’s 180-year history, the newcomer is a battery-powered riff on Riva’s famed El-Iseo that will allow seafarers to cruise the high seas in a cleaner, quieter, and more efficient manner.

The 27-footer is equipped with a Parker GVM310 engine that can produce between 250 kW and 300 kW. As a result, the yacht has a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 40 knots. The acceleration curve is also “significantly steeper than that of a similarly sized boat powered by an internal combustion engine,” according to Riva. In addition, the vessel is equipped with 150 kWh lithium battery packs that enable it to cruise for up to 10 hours in economy mode before needing a charge.

The emissions-free El-Iseo also showcases the classic stylings for which the Italian yard is renowned, with a sculpted windshield, a large inner cockpit, a pinstripe wooden foredeck, and a large rear sun pad over the engine boxes. Gleaming chrome appears on the lights, cleats, and air vents, while the bow is adorned with a pretty and practical anchor. The production model is even more stylish than the basic white prototype, with a striking metallic-blue hull and elegant two-tone upholstery.

To top it off, the runabout has an ultra-cool digital helm with a touchscreen dashboard that mirrors the analog dials on Riva’s classic models. Xenta has also integrated the onboard electrical systems. Speaking of which, the yacht has three different drive modes: Allegro, Andante, and Adagio.

The El-Iseo has completed the final test cycle and the official version is ready for sale, according to the Ferretti Group. There is no word on the price. To give you an idea, though, three of the finest electric boats currently on the market range between $329,000 and $695,000. But, hey, just think of all the money you’ll save on fuel.
