Zeelander Yachts has revealed a 23.9-metre flagship model known as the Zeelander 8. Construction is well underway at Zeelander's facility in Groot-Ammers, with the first unit scheduled for delivery in summer 2024.
Designed by Cor D. Rover, Zeelander 8 is described as an "aesthetic development" of the brand's smaller models while still benefitting from the same speed and low levels of noise and vibrations.
The new model has a 6.4-metre beam which lends itself to three double cabins and quarters for up to three crew. While full interior details are yet to be disclosed, the shipyard will feature an "innovative" drive-in tender garage which builds on the system developed for the Zeelander 6 and 7.
"When we are finally able to share details of the interior, it should become clear that this yacht represents the absolute peak of understated performance and comfort for the world’s most demanding owners," added Zeelander founder and owner, Sietse Koopmans.
The yacht has an anticipated speed of 38-40 knots and will be able to operate at full speed without breaking the 72dBa noise barrier onboard. She will also offer peerless handling regardless of the propulsion options selected.
Zeelander Yachts’ range now includes four models: Zeelander 5, Zeelander 6, Zeelander 7 and Zeelander 8.
