The second unit in Overmarine’s new Mangusta Oceano 39 series (the entry level in the Mangusta Oceano displacement line) launched at the Italian builder’s Viareggio yard this week. The three-deck yacht was built in composite material for an American owner.
The Mangusta Oceano 39 was designed by the shipyard’s technical department together with designer Alberto Mancini and in cooperation with the Verme design firm which took care of naval engineering.
The final outcome is a real ‘villa on the sea’ featuring all the elements that have made the Mangusta Oceano series an “outstanding commercial success” in the US, says Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta president Americas. Highlights include an infinity pool at the bow and the aft area providing access to the beach house, where, at the push of a button, two side terraces at sea level open up to convert the aft platform into a relaxation area. As usual, the interiors and layout are fully custom.
This Mangusta Oceano 39 is fitted with two MTU 12V 2000 M86, 1,700 hp long-range engines that allow her to reach a maximum speed of 15kt, a cruising speed of 12kt, and a range of 2,250 Nm.
The next unit available for sale is expected to be delivered in spring 2026.
