Greenline Yachts is set to emphasize sustainability at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 by showcasing its new Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid. This yacht features the latest 6G H-Drive hybrid technology, aiming to combine comfort with responsible yachting. The event, taking place from September 10-15, will provide an opportunity for attendees to view the yacht at the Quai St Pierre.
Greenline Yachts, a Slovenian company, has been leading the shift to hybrid propulsion for over 15 years. The 6G unit, their latest development, enhances the efficiency of the hybrid system. The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid can travel up to 20 nautical miles in silent electric mode at speeds of up to 6 knots. Over a typical use cycle, this hybrid system reduces emissions by up to 40% annually.
The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid also includes a 4kW solar roof array, primarily supporting the yacht's hotel services. This feature allows for extended stays at anchor without needing to use a generator, providing up to three days of autonomy. If air conditioning is not required, this duration can be extended indefinitely.
"Greenline Yachts' new 6G H-Drive is the result of 16 years of continuous development," said Vladimir Zinchenko, owner and Managing Director of Greenline Yachts. "Since our inception, we've been ahead of the competition in efficient hybrid propulsion and silent hotel operations. We're excited to present this technology alongside our Responsible Yachting concept at Cannes with our flagship model, the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid."
In addition to the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid, Greenline Yachts will display two other popular models: the Greenline 48 Coupe and the Greenline 45 Fly. These models will be exhibited at Cannes' Vieux Port. Both yachts have sold over 100 units, demonstrating their popularity and versatility. The Greenline 48 Coupe offers a sleek superstructure, while the Greenline 45 Fly provides a more luxurious option.
Both models are available with various engine options, including Yanmar's new HVO-ready diesel engines. These engines can run on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), a more sustainable fuel derived from waste vegetable oil. This feature aligns with Greenline Yachts' commitment to reducing carbon emissions without compromising performance.
