Azimut has revealed never-before-seen imagery of the Seadeck 6, the debut model in the Italian shipyard's low-emission Seadeck series.

Described as the "most efficient and sustainable yacht ever produced by Azimut", the 17.5-metre was officially presented at the Venice Boat Show 2024.

According to the shipyard, the Seadeck 6 can reduce C02 emissions by as much as 40 per cent in one year of average use compared to traditional yachts of a similar size. This is thanks to a combination of a carbon fibre build for weight reduction and an efficient hull form by Azimut-Benetti in collaboration with NAMES.

30 per cent of the Seadeck 6 is also constructed from repurposed raw materials (R-PET), with approximately 15,000 recovered plastic bottles replacing the traditional PVC skeleton.

Accommodation is for up to six guests across three cabins, not including a crew cabin for service. Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez are responsible for the interior design and have opted for environmentally-friendly materials – including cork as a replacement for teak. The lower deck also features carpeting made from a silk-like moquette, also constructed from R-PET, while oak ribbing wood and brise soleil on the ceiling create "patterns of light and shadow" for a calming aesthetic.

Her compact, sporty exterior is owed to Alberto Mancini, including a reinvented cockpit design known as the "Fun Island". This area is arranged with an al fresco lounge backed by a large, fixed sunpad, a swim platform and unfolding bulwarks.

Propulsion can range from "mild hybrid zero emission hotel mode" to a full-hybrid system. The former is based on a 42kWh battery pack and allows for both zero-emissions at anchor and cruising with the generator off.

The Seadeck 6 can reach a maximum speed of 33 knots.
