Extra Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has unveiled a new, 30.5-metre model known as the X100 Triplex.

The yacht has been described as "significantly vertical" by the Italian shipyard, who completed the naval engineering. Balancing the three decks with an existing 28-metre platform has resulted in a high bow typical of explorer yachts, a hardtop for increased liveability on the sundeck and internal volumes "typical of boats over 40 metres". Exterior lines are by Studio Agon.

Accommodation comprises four double cabins, two VIP cabins and an owner's cabin equipped with an office, vanity and wardrobe. There are further quarters for five crew. Interiors are owed to Italian studio Laura Brocchini Design and incorporate light oak wood and metallic furniture pieces for a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic. There are three interior configurations to choose from, including the positioning of the galley on the main deck or the upper deck.

The aft cockpit is the main communal space and is split into two sections. The first is closer to the beach club and furnished with a large sunlounge, while the second houses an informal lounge. The backrest of the sunlounger can be used as a seat facing the lounge to create a link between the two areas.

Meanwhile, the upper deck has a formal dining space and a lounge area designed with freestanding furniture for further flexibility. The sundeck features a large bar, sunbathing areas and a dining table for 10 guests. The exterior configuation is also flexible with the choice of fitting a Jacuzzi at the bow or incorporating a stern lifting platform for the tender.

A four-metre tender, two Seabobs and other minor accessories can be stored in the stern garage.

The model is propelled by twin 1550hp MAN engines for a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. An optional propulsion package is available with 1800hp engines for an increased top speed of 18 knots.

This follows the news that the first unit in the shipyard's X90 Fast series had been sold, with delivery expected in summer 2025.
