Apreamare unveiled its new “Apreamare Refit” division, created in response to shipowners’ longstanding requests for a dedicated refit and maintenance service managed directly by the shipyard.

Apreamare Refit will focus exclusively on Apreamare vessels, which are uniquely crafted by the skilled workforce that embodies the company’s heritage and craftsmanship.

The heart of this initiative will be a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 3,000 square meters, located within Apreamare’s main production site in Torre Annunziata. This advanced warehouse is designed to accommodate up to five boats concurrently, offering a comprehensive array of restoration and modernization services. The division is set to become operational on September 1, 2024, and aims to support the entire Apreamare fleet, which counts approximately 2,000 boats around the globe.

Renowned for their expertise, the Apreamare team will provide a wide range of services to rejuvenate the boats, including teak deck replacements, painting, upholstery updates, and enhancements to navigation and onboard systems. Each service is aimed at preserving and enhancing the vessels' value while boosting comfort, efficiency, and safety on the water.

“Bring your gozzo back to the craftsmen who built it, and restore it to its original glory” serves as the guiding motto for Apreamare Refit. This exclusive offering underscores the shipyard’s commitment to maintaining the traditional quality and heritage it is known for.

Cataldo Aprea, President of Apreamare, expressed pride in announcing the new refit division, stating, “This initiative is a response to market demand and reflects the prestige of our boats sailing across the world's oceans. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated Apreamare workers who strive daily to uphold our commitment to superior quality.”

The history of the shipyard starts in 1849, when Giovanni Aprea started to handbuild rowing and sailing boats used for fishing in Sorrento, basing his craft on the shape and form of the traditional “gozzo sorrentino”. Now the shipyard range includes the Apreamare and Maestro yachts.
