Following its recent 170th anniversary celebrations, Italian superyacht builder Baglietto has signed a contract to build a 56m (184ft) custom project in steel and aluminium. Enrico Gobbi-Team for Design will be responsible for the exterior and interior, with Carlo Lionetti collaborating on the interiors.

“We are very excited about this new challenge,” says Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto CCO. “The owner of this new project contacted us with very clear ideas about the design and technical performance he was looking for, and he found in our shipyard the best partner to make his dreams come true.

“We are a boutique shipyard with a client-focused approach based on a relationship of trust,” he explains. “This new fully custom motoryacht is further proof of Baglietto’s ability to satisfy its clients’ demand for uniqueness and demonstrates the shipyard’s great flexibility and capacity to meet all clients’ needs.”

The layout includes a master suite on the upper deck with the owner’s private outdoor area facing forward. A gym with spa area on the lower deck is directly connected to an aft large stern platform including a pool flush with the deck. The yacht will be powered by twin Caterpillar 3512E 2,549hp engines, giving a top speed of 16.5kt and a comfortable range of 4,500Nm.

No details of the delivery date or the buyer have been released, but based on what is known about Baglietto’s order book, plus the new orders that it received earlier this year, it is estimated completion will be in 2028.

Other orders this year included a 50m (164ft) custom steel and aluminium superyacht for delivery in 2027 and the first Fast 50 order.
