The 34.5-metre Benetti motor yacht Star of the Sea is for newly listed for sale with John Jacobi of Fraser.
Delivered from Italian yard Benetti in 1983, who also designed her in-house, the vintage steel and aluminium yacht was refitted in 2016 and completed a $1,000,000+ refit in 2024. Her current owner is looking for a "new custodian" after 20 years of ownership. The yacht provided disaster relief after the La Soufriére volcano eruption in 2021.
She accommodates an owner's party of 12 across six cabins – unique for this model – and built up a successful charter record when she was based in Bequia in the Caribbean.
Features pointed out by the broker include her sky lounge and a top deck Jacuzzi as well as her "original, luxurious Italian interior that exudes the charm and grandeur of the golden age of yachting". The master cabin is positioned forward on the main deck, this deck also hosting the formal dining room that can be opened or closed off from the main saloon aft with sliding doors. The feel is traditional, with beautiful gloss-varnished woodwork, brightened up by colourful upholstery throughout.
The 219GT BV-classed yacht for sale is powered by twin 365hp Caterpillar diesels, giving her a top speed of 10 knots and range of 4,000 nautical miles at her cruising speed of eight to nine knots.
