Bering Yachts has announced the sale of its third flagship model, the Bering 145, to a repeat client. The buyer currently owns the first unit in the series, the 44.2-metre Heeus, and has chosen to expand their fleet with the same model following her success on the charter market.
A roving explorer, the Bering 145 is equipped with an ice belt for high-latitude cruising and a generous fuel capacity of 70,000 litres with a cruising range in excess of 4,600 nautical miles at a minimum speed of 12 knots. She can also remain autonomous for up to 30 days, according to the yard. She will be built in steel and aluminium in Turkey.
Accommodation includes a master suite on the main deck for ocean views, while guest and crew cabins are positioned on the lower deck. The flybridge is the main social hub, featuring a cozy skylounge, al fresco dining and a sundeck complete with Jacuzzi, sunpads and bar.
Other highlights include a formal dining area on the main deck, sofa seating in the bow and a 30-square-metre garage for tenders, water toys and other nautical gadgets.
The model is powered by hybrid propulsion, with the propeller driven by electric motors charged by a bank of batteries. The banks are, in turn, recharged by high-efficiency, variable-speed DC generators.
Bering Yachts recently announced an addition to its explorer yacht portfolio: the Bering 105, which measures 32.2 metres and is also designed for extended cruising and charter operations.
