Columbus Yachts has announced the launch of M/Y Acqua Chiara, the first unit of its Atlantique 47-meter series. The ceremony took place at the shipyard, marking the introduction of a vessel designed for enhanced onboard living and seamless connection with the sea.
The yacht features a steel hull, an aluminum superstructure, and a beam of 9.10 meters. It is built with a gross tonnage of 499 GT and a draft of 2.4 meters. Exterior and interior designs were created by Hot Lab studio, while Columbus Yachts handled the naval architecture. The design emphasizes fluid lines, particularly at the stern, which is arranged over three levels: a covered dining area, a living area with a pool and opening balconies, and a platform close to water level.
The main deck features a second pool at the bow, surrounded by a sunbathing area, circular seating, and tables. The interior incorporates materials such as leather, marble, glass, and mosaic, provided by Sicis. Accommodations include a forward master cabin on the main deck, two king-size cabins, and two twin cabins on the lower deck, each with en-suite marble and mosaic bathrooms. Crew accommodations include eight berths across four cabins, with the captain’s cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse.
The yacht’s garage is equipped to store a five-meter tender, a rescue tender, and two jet skis. Powered by twin 1350-horsepower engines, M/Y Acqua Chiara achieves a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14.5 knots, with a range of 3,400 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Columbus Yachts was established in 2008. In early 2019, the shipyard launched the new flagship Columbus Classic 80m M/Y Dragon, which joins in the Columbus star-studded fleet with the award-winning Sport Hybrid 40 Divine, the 57m M/Y Taiba and the 40m M/Y Eleonora III. The Columbus range offers four different lines: Sport, Classic, Crossover and Custom for unique projects. Currently, Palumbo Superyachts comprises a representative office in Monaco and a logistics network of five shipyards in the Mediterranean (Ancona, Malta, Marseille, Naples and Savona), operating under just as many world-renowned brand names: ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine, Extra Yachts and Palumbo SY Refit.
