German yard Lürssen has launched the 134.2-metre Project Deep Blue from its Bremen site. Her delivery is expected before November, according to BOATPro – though this is yet to be confirmed by the German yard.
A highly secretive build, the first glimpses of her exterior were only revealed last week. Now, her full, five-deck exterior is visible to the public, including two pools, a heli-capable bow, a sloping mast and unconventional lower-deck glasswork.
The latest imagery also reveals her nameplate – which appears to be Deep Blue – and her brilliantly blue overhangs.
Yacht-spotters have drawn similarities between Project Deep Blue's lines and those of Ahpo (now Lady Jorgia), with the same tapered decks on the forward part of the superstructure.
Very little is known about the mammoth build, which was last sighted in 2023 as a bare hull. She is expected to have a gross tonnage of around 9,000GT and is one of Lürssen's first projects to use the builder's new slipway, which is able to accommodate much heavier loads.
BOATPro reports 11 superyachts currently under construction at Lürssen.
Other highly anticipated builds include the 102.7-metre Project Jassj, which was technically launched last year, and the yard's first fuel-cell superyacht, Project Cosmos.
