The 62-metre Nobiskrug yacht project Cap d'Ail (formerly known as Project 794) has been transported from Lürssen's facility in Berne, Germany back to its Lemwerder site.
Construction on the project began in 2019 but was halted after Nobiskrug ran into financial difficulty in 2021. The yacht is now completing outfitting works at Lürssen, with the German yard's move to acquire Nobiskrug earlier this year fuelling rumours of a project takeover.
The yacht was initially scheduled for completion in 2021, though she appears unchanged since her transfer from the Nobiskrug shipyard over three years ago.
Described as a "performance-driven, high-volume yacht", Project Cap d'Ail features exterior design by Espen Øino International and pairs "expansive exterior deck spaces" with "a generous open-plan layout". The five-deck superyacht was first glimpsed in June 2020 passing through the Kiel canal.
Other features include a wellness area with a seven-metre glass-walled pool and a large tender garage spacious enough for two tenders, a rescue boat and a plethora of water sports toys. Little else is known about the project and its build has been kept tightly under wraps.
According to BOATPro, the superyacht builds that were active at the time of Nobiskrug's insolvency include the 83-metre Project Orkan, the 78-metre Project Bullseye and the 77.1-metre Project Black Shark.
