The first superyacht from Admiral's 72-metre Giorgio Armani-designed series, Admiral Armani 72m, also known as Project Metamorphosis, has been launched. Built by The Italian Sea Group (TISG) under its Admiral brand, the motor yacht hit the water from the yard's Marina di Carrara headquarters in Italy. She will be unveiled at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.

The collaboration between the Italian shipyard and the legendary Italian fashion designer was first unveiled in February 2023, with the 72-metre project already in build. Initially announced with a 2024 delivery date, the yacht was resold in May 2024, with the date pushed back to account for "additional upgrades" by her new owner.

The custom steel and aluminium project is the first in a series of two designed by Giorgio Armani in partnership with Centro Stile of TISG. Images from her launch reveal her satin gold profile, which has "geometric volumes" alternating with "curved surfaces" and floor-to-ceiling windows that reflect light in a "sophisticated play of reflections", according to the shipyard. Highlights of her exterior include the "suspended terrace" design of her upper decks, which host an open-air lounge and a helicopter landing area.

The interior is by Armani/Casa and uses a soft and minimalist palette that contrasts refined materials and hand-crafted finishes. According to the yard, fine materials such as Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta and Canaletto walnut are complemented by mirrors, handcrafted lighting and selected fabrics, which "amplify the vision" of the designer while creating an "intimate, sophisticated and timeless atmosphere".

"This yacht represents the confluence of Giorgio Armani’s poetic elegance and The Italian Sea Group’s technical excellence,” shared TISG founder and CEO, Giovanni Costantino. “A creative journey that has turned a dream into a reality that sails the seas with grace.”
