Brokerage report: July yacht sales up year on year

Exclusive data from BOATPro indicates the yacht brokerage market is currently outperforming results from the previous year, with a total of €283.1 million generated across 29 yacht sales in July 2025. This was more than double last year's €129.2 million (shared across 23 yacht sales), suggesting a market in robust health despite the uncertainty surrounding tariffs leading up to last month's US-EU trade deal. 

That said, the total value of sales this past month (July 2025) saw a near 42 per cent decline compared to the total sales value in June (€429.4 million), though this happens to fall in line with the industry's seasonal buying patterns. 

The second most expensive sale of the month was Benetti's 64.5-metre motor yacht Seanna, exchanged in a deal between Burgess and Royal Yacht International with an asking price of €49.5 million. Details of the largest sale in July remain private.

Similar to June, most of the sales in July represented slightly smaller, bite-sized transactions for yachts under 50 metres. Notable sales included the 39.8-metre Baglietto motor yacht Club M  (asking €16.9 million); Fitzroy Yachts' 37.5-metre sailing yacht Escapade (asking €13.75 million); and the 45.7-metre Palmer Johnsonmotor yacht Ionian Princess (asking €10.9 million).

With more owners using their vessels during the warmer months, the number of new additions to the market slowed in July. According to BOATPro, there were 51 new listings with a collective value of €507. 6 million – a significant decline compared to June's 72 new listings with a value of €1.03 billion.

The most expensive yacht listed for sale in July was the 65-metre Codecasa motor yacht Regina d'Italia, which joined the brokerage market for the first time since her 2019 delivery with Ocean Independence. She is asking €54 million.

Sanlorenzo's 56.5-metre motor yacht Virtuosity was also listed for sale in July (asking €49.5 million), alongside Baltic Yachts' 43.3-metre award-winning sailing yacht Canova (asking €32.9 million). Both yachts are being represented by Edmiston.

Finally, BOATPro showed 57 price drops for the month, shaving €47.6 million from the brokerage market in July. One of the largest reductions was for the 57.6-metre Feadship motor yacht W,  now asking €37,500,000 with Edmiston after €2,450,000 was removed from her asking price.
