All-electric Dometic DG3 gyrostabiliser named Innovation by Design Awards finalist

　　Dometic’s DG3 gyroscopic stabiliser has been named a finalist in the 2025 Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards in the transportation design category. 

　　In its 14th year, the Innovation by Design Awards recognises businesses and designers addressing pressing challenges while anticipating future needs. The awards highlight work that demonstrates originality, functionality, sustainability, user focus, cultural relevance, and measurable business impact. 

　　The DG3 is a fully electric gyroscopic stabiliser for boats, featuring faster spin-up and spin-down times, reduced power consumption, and lower maintenance requirements, enabled by Dometic’s proprietary electric actuator technology. 

　　Earlier this year, at the 2025 Miami International Boat Show, the DG3 gyrostabiliser was awarded the Miami Innovation Award in the category of Mechanical & Electrical systems. 

　　Eric Fetchko, president of Dometic Marine, who was recently honoured with the 2025 Eddie Smith Manufacturer of the Year Award, comments: “The DG3 gyrostabiliser represents a significant leap forward in marine motion control.

　　Finalists were selected by a panel of leading designers, executives, and Fast Company editors.
