Flexiteek, a manufacturer of synthetic marine decking, has appointed Navale as its commercial partner for the Australian market.
A new fabrication hub in Ballina, NSW, will provide distribution and fabrication services.
Navale general manager Garry Boomer says: “We see the market in responsible and high-performance composite decking as a huge growth sector and will be providing solutions for our clients to experience all the advantages it brings.
“Our distribution and fabrication services will provide solutions to OEM manufacturers, shipwrights and yards as well as working on the retail side to support vessel refurbishment and restoration.
“Having seen first-hand the way that Flexiteek leads the market in Europe and the US, we are very pleased to have the opportunity to move things forward in this part of the world where the maritime industry means so much to so many.”
The new distribution and fabrication partnership comes a year after the launch of Flexiteek 3, the latest iteration of the company’s composite decking. Flexiteek 3 is produced from bio-attributed PVC, a renewable material that reportedly generates up to 80 per cent fewer greenhouse gases than alternative decking materials.
In July this year, Flexiteek received a silver EcoVadis sustainability rating for 2025-2026, placing it among the top 15 per cent of companies assessed globally by the organisation.
