New Zealand-based marine coatings leader Propspeed has announced a partnership with Italian boatbuilder Bellini Yacht.
Under the new agreement, Propspeed’s biocide-free, foul-release coating system will be applied to propellers and running gear across Bellini’s Astor lineup.
Beginning in 2026, the firm’s system will be integrated as a factory standard on the Astor 58 range, as well as the upcoming Astor 68, which is scheduled to debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival. The coating will also be offered as an optional upgrade for the smaller Astor 36.
Davide Burrini, EMEA sales director at Propspeed, says: “Bellini Yacht and its vessels have become synonymous with exceptional quality in Italian boatbuilding.
“We’re proud to partner with Bellini to keep the Astor model lineup protected below the waterline with Propspeed. We’re confident that Astor owners will appreciate not only the protection, but the increase in performance and efficiency Propspeed brings to their vessels.”
CEO of Bellini Yacht, Battista Bellini, highlights that the decision to adopt Propspeed aligns with the yard’s standards for reliability and performance, and notes: “Propspeed is the ideal solution to ensure protection and efficiency below the waterline. We are pleased to integrate this technology into our models, another step forward in offering our owners a superior boating experience.”
