Finnish shipyard Baltic Yachts has announced the sale of the first unit from its new Baltic 80 Café Racer sailing yacht series. Construction on the first 23.9-metre hull will begin in April 2026, with delivery slated for June 2027.

The Baltic 80 Café Racer comes as an evolution of the yard's smaller yet highly successful Baltic 68 Café Racer series, which includes Pink Gin Verde, and is said to represent the "next step" in Baltic’s evolution of performance-led, lifestyle-focused sailing yachts, driven by growing demand.

Surge Projects, led by Javier Jaudenes, is behind the model's naval architecture, while Design Unlimited has been selected for the interior design.

Inside, the interior is drawn in an open, loft-style, offering comfort through "bold styling"

The 23.9-metre model has been designed for owners seeking relaxed sailing time with family and friends as well as competitive potential on the regatta racecourse. "Pared-back luxury, intuitive systems and generous living spaces" are said to differentiate the line, which has been penned to be fun to sail, fast to set up and easily managed by a small crew.

"The Café Racer name draws inspiration from 1960s London, where pared-down, visually minimalist motorbikes were built for speed, attitude and rebellion," said a spokesperson for the yard. "That same spirit defines the Baltic 80 Café Racer: confident, focused and unapologetically different."

Further details on the Baltic 80 Café Racer are expected to be unveiled in the new year.

According to BOATPro, Baltic Yachts currently has two yachts under construction, including a 37-metre custom cruising sloop, which is expected for delivery next year.
